City leader receives commander of Japanese patrol boat
Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairwoman Ngo Thi Kim Yen, on Monday afternoon, warmly received Colonel Niwa Satoshi, Commander of the Japan Coast Guard’s Settsu patrol boat which arrived in the city on the morning of the same day.

During her reception for the Japanese guest, Vice Chairwoman Yen remarked that the ongoing visit made by the Settsu patrol ship in the city affirmed the importance of the Viet Nam-Japan extensive strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia.
Mrs. Yen expressed her belief that the visit will contribute to enhancing understanding and exchange of experiences between the Japanese coast guard force and the Vietnamese law enforcement force, as well as deepening the cooperation relationship between the two countries in general, between Da Nang and Japanese authorities and businesses in particular.
In reply, Colonel Niwa Satoshi deeply thanked the city's leaders and relevant units for creating favourable conditions for such a successful courtesy visit reaffirming the close affection between Viet Nam and Japan.
He emphasised said the ongoing visit by Settsu provided a good opportunity for the coast guard forces of the two countries to exchange their experience in law enforcement at sea as well as to boost their cooperation and mutual understanding.
