City Party Chief visits medical facilities on occasion of Doctor's Day
On Monday morning, Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang visited and congratulated some medical facilities on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the Viet Nam Doctor's Day (February 27).

During his visit to the Da Nang-based C Hospital, Secretary Quang praised the units' great efforts and outstanding achievements in recent years.
Being a medical unit with the task of providing healthcare for senior officials of the Party and State in the Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands regions, and medical examinations and treatment for people in Da Nang and neighbouring provinces and cities, the C Hospital has made important contributions to healthcare activities in the regions in general and the city in particular, especially the COVID-19 prevention and control, over the past years.
Mr. Quang attributed the abovementioned positive results to great efforts made by the hospital’s leaders, officials and employees.
He took the opportunity to wish the staff of the hospital good health in order to continue to devote the spirit and intelligence to the career of caring for people's health as well as the development of the city.
He also pledged that the city leaders are willing to listen to the thoughts and aspirations of the hospital’s staff and give timely support to the unit in a bid to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment services.
Mr. Quang hoped that the hospital will continue to improve the professional capacity as well as invest, renovate and repair facilities to meet increasing healthcare needs of patients.
According to Dr. Nguyen Trong Thien, Director of the C Hospital, his hospital currently has 698 officials and employees. In 2022, the total number of medical examinations and functional tests was 288,976, an increase of 49,501 compared to the same period in 2021. The number of visits to the clinic was 243,667, a rise of 33,181 against 2021.
In recent years, the Da Nang C Hospital has been constantly participating in and organising training courses for health workers, as well as applying hi-tech to serve patients.
On behalf of the hospital leader, Dr. Nguyen Trong Thien thanked the city leaders for their special care and support for the unit over the past time.

Extending his congratulations on staff of the Nam Lien Chieu General Hospital, municipal Party Chief Quang encouraged the unit to continue to overcome difficulties and obstacles in the immediate future so as to effectively carry out people's health care activities.
He sent wishes for health and success to the hospital's staff, and required the unit to inherit previous strengths, improve professional capacity, and develop more young Party members.
The Nam Lien Chieu General Hospital was formerly known as the Da Nang Transportation Hospital under the Department of Health. After the conversion, the hopsital is a II grade district-level medical establishment with 180 beds.
Despite facing some difficulties in facilities, equipment and human resources, the hospital leaders said that they will gradually overcome difficulties, soon stabilise the situation, deploy professional activities in accordance with tasks assigned by the health sector.
