On Wednesday evening, the Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang celebrated the 63^rd birthday of Emperor Naruhito (February 23).

In his remarks at the event, Consul General of Japan in Da Nang Yakabe Yoshinori expressed his pleasure to welcome distinguished guests to the event. He also showed his delight at the fine development of the bilateral ties in all spheres between Japan and Da Nang in particular, and central regional localities in general.

Consul General Yakabe Yoshinori said that 2023 will mark the 50^th founding anniversary of diplomatic ties between Japan and Viet Nam. He informed that Da Nang, and Quang Nam and Thua Thien Hue provinces, are planning to organise a series of cultural and arts activities to celebrate the important event.

Speaking at the event, Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh congratulated staff of the Japanese Consulate General in Da Nang on the occasion of Emperor Naruhito's birthday.

The city leader affirmed that Da Nang will make greater efforts to contribute to fostering and developing the comprehensive strategic partnership between Viet Nam and Japan.
