On Friday morning, Da Nang People’s Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh paid a visit to the Son Tra District Medical Center on the 68^th anniversary of the Vietnamese Physicians' Day (February 27).

On behalf of the city's leaders, Chairman Chinh highly praised staff of the Son Tra District-based Medical Center for their great efforts and devotion in caring for patients, especially in the recent fight against COVID-19.

Aside from improving the capacity of the health system, in the coming time, the city will continue ensuring the conditions in terms of human resources, facilities, equipment, drugs, medical supplies and other relevant professional conditions as prescribed by the Ministry of Health for the centre to operate effectively, Mr. Chinh emphasised.

Chairman Chinh wished medical staff of the center to be healthy and happy, and to continue to devote their energy and wisdom for the development of the health sector in particular, and healthcare mission in general.

For his part, Dr. Pham Hong Nam, Director of the Medical Center, thanked leaders of the city and the local healthcare sector for their special care for the unit.

He remarked, over the past time, the center has been focusing on upgrading its facilities and equipment to become a quality district-level medical facility. He added the center will continue making greater efforts to enhance professional quality, thereby meeting the expectations of the city, and local residents.
