Promoting Australian agriculture and education in Da Nang
Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairwoman Ngo Thi Kim Yen hosted a reception on Thursday for a group of representatives from Australia, led by Deputy Consul General of Australia in Ho Chi Minh City cum Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner Rebecca Ball.

The purpose of the visit made by the group was to prepare for the organisation of a seminar on promoting Australian agriculture and education 2023 in Da Nang which is slated to take place on March 31.
Vice Chairwoman Yen remarked the seminar will be a good opportunity for Vietnamese and Australian businesses to learn about, exchange and expand cooperation and investment activities in the fields of agriculture, education and tourism services.
She added Da Nang is willing to welcome Australian partners to cooperate and invest in many fields.
For her part, Deputy Consul General Rebecca Ball thanked the city leader for the warm welcome, expressing her joy at the city’s post-pandemic strong socio-economic recovery.
Mrs. Rebecca Ball said that the upcoming seminar will create opportunities for businesses involving in the Australian agriculture and education sectors to boost cooperation with Da Nang.
The event was also one of the activities to celebrate the 50th founding anniversary of Viet Nam - Australia diplomatic relations (February 26), she added.
During the seminar, 50 businesses in Australia operating in the fields of food, beverage and education will introduce their safe agricultural products, beef, and fresh fruits to restaurants and hotels in Da Nang.
Mrs. Rebecca Ball hopes the seminar will gain many outstanding cooperation results. At the same time, she expressed her interest in expanding cooperation in the fields of high technology, start-ups, energy saving and sustainable energy use.
