Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang received his counterpart Liu Ning from the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, in the city on Sunday morning.

Secretary Liu Ning thanked the city leader for his respectful reception, congratulating Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole, on remarkable socio-economic development achievements in recent years.

Specifically, Da Nang is a developed city with modern infrastructure. In 2022, Da Nang recorded the third highest economic growth rate of Viet Nam, attributed to a high sense of consensus and determination of the leadership team, as well as the strong support of local people and businesses.

The Chinese guest remarked during the recent visit to China made by Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Nguyen Phu Trong after the 20^th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, leaders of the two Parties and States of Viet Nam and China issued a joint statement on further strengthening the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, thereby setting out orientation as well as the future of the bilateral cooperation.

He, therefore, stressed the need for Da Nang and Guangxi to thoroughly grasp and implement the requirements of the two parties and two states in the agreement

The Chinese official introduced the socio-economic development situation, potentials and strengths of Guangxi Province to the city leader. He remarked Guangxi and Da Nang boasted favourable conditions that can connect development cooperation by land and sea. The two localities shared many similarities in seaport system, and tourism development thanks to their famous beautiful landscapes.

In addition, the two localities have strengthened cooperation in seaport services and marine tourism, as well as cultural exchange activities.

Secretary Liu Ning took the opportunity to invite Secretary Quang to attend the International Fair slated for September 2023 in Guangxi Province.

For his part, Da Nang Party chief Quang hoped that Mr. Liu Ning will do his utmost to deepen the relationships between Viet Nam and China, especially between Guangxi and Da Nang, in the coming time.

The city leader thanked the Chinese guest for his invitation for the forthcoming International Fair. He affirmed that the event would be an opportunity to further strengthen the relationship between Da Nang and Guangxi, as well as to expand exchange activities with other localities of China, in the years ahead.
