Vice Chairman Son informed his Chinese guest about the city’s socio-economic situation and its development orientation in the coming time.

Currently, Da Nang has set up friendly and cooperative relations with a number of Chinese localities such as Shandong and Jiangsu provinces, the Macao Special Administrative Region, and Yunnan Province’s Kunming City, he added.

Mr. Son suggested the two sides quickly promote the tourism cooperation programmes on the basis of a Memorandum of Understanding on tourism cooperation signed in 2016 between the Da Nang Department of Tourism and the Dalian Tourism Bureau.

He also expressed his hope that Mr. Lu Lin will do his utmost to support the two localities to boost cooperation in high-tech industry and high-tech agriculture, as well as strengthen people-to-people diplomacy and cultural and sports exchanges.

For his part, Vice Chairman Lu Lin expressed his impression on Da Nang’s beauty as well as its development potential and advantages, especially its green, clean and friendly tourism environment.

Briefing the host on his locality’s general situation and strengths, Mr. Lu Lin said that Dalian and Da Nang shared many similarities, suitable for strengthening cooperation relations, from exchanging delegations to cooperate in the fields of seaports, tourism and economic development.

He remarked the visit aimed to increasingly tighten their bilateral friendship and cooperation in the fields which are their strengths.
