Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang hosted a reception on Monday for a high-ranking delegation of the Central Union of Cuban Workers (CTC) led by its Secretary General Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, who is also Vice President of the World Federation of Trade Unions.

Secretary General Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento thanked the city's top leader for his warm welcome. He remarked that the Viet Nam-Cuba relations have been developing fruitfully, as reflected through high-level visits by leaders of the two countries over the past time.

He informed about the current Cuban situation and the implementation of policies to update the socio-economic model and activities of the Central Union of Cuban Workers.

The guest emphasised that the Party, State and people of Cuba attached great importance to deepening the special friendship and solidarity between Viet Nam and Cuba.

The Central Union of Cuban Workers will well implement cooperation contents, and enhance experience exchange activities, with the Viet Nam General Confederation of Labour, he added.

The city Part chief Nguyen Van Quang affirmed that the Vietnamese Party, State and people always stood side by side, accompany and support the Cuban Party, State and people. In particular, Da Nang will focus on developing cooperative relationships in many fields with Cuba.
