Vice Chairman Nam expressed his wish that Mitsubishi Corporation would cooperate and support the city to promote the development of high-tech industry and other fields.

According to the city leader, Da Nang is implementing zoning plans, which is considered as a new "revolution" in urban planning in order to develop and attract investment in tourism, and high technology combined with marine economy.

He added the city is calling for support in researching a number of large zoning plans that are shaping and driving forces for Da Nang's development.

Da Nang has spent quite a lot of land for commercial development. Therefore, the host asked for help from the Japanese corporation to appeal for more investors to invest in commercial center projects in the Green Core and Hillside subdivisions, non-tariff zones and concentrated commercial zones with an area of thousands of hectares.

Mr. Nam took the opportunity to call on Mitsubishi Corporation to invest in the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park, healthcare and logistics in the near future, especially the soon-to-be-developed Lien Chieu Wharf project.

For his part, Mr. Hidetoshi Suzuki, Chairman and General Director of Mitsubishi Corporation Vietnam, said that Mitsubishi Corporation is currently looking for new partners and localities to develop new projects in such spheres as urban infrastructure development, food, and social and charity activities.

The Group will prioritise investing in fields of high-tech industry, logistics and trade, the Japanese guest noted.
