Many activities to celebrate 50th founding anniversary of Viet Nam-Japan diplomatic relations in Da Nang

Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang held a reception on Thursday for Japanese Ambassador to Viet Nam Yamada Takio during his visit to Da Nang to celebrate the Viet Nam-Japan Cultural Exchange Festival in the city from July 13-16.

He added the Viet Nam-Japan Cultural Exchange Festival aimed to celebrate the 50th founding anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the two countries (September 21, 1973 - 2023). It is considered as a comprehensive cultural exchange event with Japan in Da Nang, contributing to tightening the cooperative relationship between Viet Nam and Japan in general and between Da Nang and Japanese partners in particular.

Secretary Quang expressed his delight at the very good strategic partnership between Viet Nam and Japan. He also praised Ambassador Yamada Takio for his active involvement in appealing for more Japanese businesses and partners to invest in Da Nang.

The city leader affirmed that the city is committed to creating the most favourable conditions for Japanese businesses to seek investment opportunities in Da Nang.

In reply, Mr. Yamada Takio thanked the city leaders for the respectful welcome and facilitate relevant agencies to organise the Viet Nam - Japan Cultural Exchange Festival 2023.

He noted, aside from the Viet Nam - Japan Cultural Exchange Festival, the Association of Japanese Businesses in Da Nang is organising an artistic lighting space with a large-scale art light space of up to 500,000 LED lights. The event rund continuously till July 23 at the western bank of the Dragon Bridge, creating conditions for both local residents and tourists to enjoy the colourful light space, and at the same time learn more about Japanese culture and people.

The Japanese guest hoped that more cultural exchange activities and events will be held in the city in the time to come in a bid to deepen the Viet Nam - Japan relations.

He also suggested the city focus on solving difficulties that Japanese businesses operating in the city are facing, as well as consider granting visa procedures to facilitate Japanese tourists to travel to Da Nang.
