Receiving Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Viet Nam Kanat Tumysh on Monday, Da Nang People’s Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh highly appreciated that the Viet Nam- Kazakhstan relationship was developing fruitfully in all spheres. However, Da Nang and localities of Kazakhstan have yet to set up friendly and cooperative relationships.

The city leader, therefore, asked the Kazakh guest to do his utmost to call on more investors and businesses from his country to invest in Da Nang in the coming time.

He pledged to fully support and create all conditions for Kazakh investors to seek cooperation and investment opportunities in Da Nang.

For his part, Ambassador Kanat Tumysh introduced Aktau as Kazakhstan's only port city located on the eastern shore of the Caspian Sea, and the city shared similarities with Da Nang in many aspects.

Currently, Kazakhstan's Coteccons Group is looking to invest in Da Nang in two fields of data centre and social housing. On the occasion, the Kazakh diplomat asked for support from the municipal government to create favorable conditions for the group to effectively invest in the city.

Mr. Kanat Tumysh promised to promote and introduce images and tourism environment of Da Nang to the people of Kazakstan. He added that Kazakhstan had two direct flights to Kien Giang Province’s Phu Quoc and Khanh Hoa Province’s Nha Trang.

He proposed that the two sides quickly promote tourism cooperation as well as open direct flights between Kazakhstan and Da Nang in the near future.
