Da Nang and South Korean localities set up comprehensive cooperative relations
On Monday, Hai Chau District, Da Nang, and Uiwang City, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, signed a minutes of agreement to establish a comprehensive cooperative relationship and promote friendly exchanges.

Under the agreement, the two sides will promote the organisation of learning and experience exchange programmes, and training courses to improve professional capacity for government officials and civil servants in the fields of environment - urban, public health, socio-culture, education and economy.
According to the report at the signing ceremony, during the 2021-2023 period, Hai Chau District and Uiwang City jointly organised many cooperation, exchange and friendship activities.
In particular, Uiwang City worked together with Hai Chau District in the fight against COVID-19. Authorities in Hai Chau District donated 60 books and short stories to Uiwang City with the aim to promote Vietnamese culture.
Also, the two localities signed an agreement on boosting cooperation in the fields of education and economics in November 2022 in Hai Chau District, and a cultural exchange programme for junior high school pupils in May 2023 in Uiwang City.
Moreover, 'Made-in-Da Nang’ typical agricultural and so-called One Commune-One Product (OCOP) products were displayed and introduced at the Uiwang Railway Festival.
Two businesses in Uiwang City were facilitated to participate in the International East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) Trade and Tourism Fair 2023.
