Da Nang holds banquet to celebrate 74 years of Viet Nam-China diplomatic ties

The Chinese Consulate General in Da Nang coordinated with the municipal Union of Friendship Organisations, the city branch of the Viet Nam - China Friendship Association, and related units, to hold a banquet on Thursday to celebrate the 74th founding anniversary of the Viet Nam - China diplomatic ties (January 18, 1950-2024) and welcome in the 2024 Lunar New Year.

Speaking at the party, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Ho Ky Minh said that 2024 marked the 74th founding anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Viet Nam. This was an opportunity for the two countries to look back on the past and further strengthen the friendship and mutual understanding between the two peoples.

Vice Chairman expressed his belief that the Chinese Consulate General in Da Nang will continue acting as a bridge to effectively promote cooperation programmes between Da Nang and Chinese partners. This will significantly contribute to tightening and deepening the friendly relationship between the Parties, the States and the people of Viet Nam and China.

For her part, Ms. Dong Bi You, the Chinese Consul General in Da Nang, hoped that the exchange and cooperation between the two countries will achieve greater results in the years ahead, thereby together writing a new chapter in the relationship between the two Parties and the two States.
