Da Nang Party chief receives Cambodian, French and Lao Ambassadors in Viet Nam
Within the framework of the ongoing ‘Meet Da Nang 2024’, Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang chaired receptions on Friday for Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cambodia, France and Laos to Viet Nam during their visit to the city.

Secretary Quang expressed his joy at the participation of the ambassadors at the ‘Meet Da Nang 2024’ programme. He believed that the event will open up many opportunities for the city to set up cooperation relations with many countries worldwide and attract more investment in its priority aspects.
When receiving Cambodian Ambassador to Viet Nam Chea Kimtha, Mr. Quang acknowledged that Da Nang and Cambodia shared many similarities, especially the long-standing Champa culture. He added that the operation of the Da Nang - Siem Reap direct flight since 2020 has facilitated the two sides to boost tourism and culture cooperation.
Thanking the city leader for his warm welcome, Cambodian Ambassador Chea Kimtha expressed her impression with Da Nang's rapid growth, especially in the tourism industry.
She hoped that the two sides will increasingly strengthen people-to-people exchange activities, and cooperation programmes in fields of tourism, trade, education, agriculture and human resources.

When talking with French Ambassador Olivier Brochet, Secretary Quang emphasised that tourism and technology, two of the city’s spearheads, were of interest of many businesses and investors at abroad. He took the opportunity to ask the French diplomat to appeal for more potential investors and businesses from his country to visit and learn about Da Nang’s investment climate.
In reply, Mr. Olivier Brochet vowed to do his utmost to introduce potential French investors and businesses to Da Nang to seek investment opportunities in technology, transportation and other fields.

During his reception for Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Khamphao Ernthavanh, Secretary Quang hailed the diplomat’s participation in this city's foreign affairs event, contributing to creating a good image of friendship between Laos and Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole.
For her part, Lao Ambassador Khamphao Eunthavanh highly appreciated the good relationship between Da Nang and Lao localities over the past time. As a representative of the Lao People's Party, she pledged that she will make personal contributions to contribute to lifting the bilateral relations between the two countries to new height.
