Head of Party Central Committee's Internal Affairs Commission sends Tet greetings to Da Nang leaders

Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs Phan Dinh Trac visited and extended Tet wishes to leaders of Da Nang on Thursday.

On behalf of the working delegation, Chairman Phan Dinh Trac highly appreciated Da Nang’s achievements in 2023, especially in the work of building the Party and political system. He praised the city’s great efforts and strong determination in piloting urban government with many impressive results.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Dragon 2024, Mr. Trac wished the Party Committee, government and people of the city to continue to fulfill socio-economic development tasks, as well as overcome challenges and difficulties, to reap more success in 2024.

On behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of the city, Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang briefed his guest on the city's outstanding socio-economic results in 2023.

Last year, the work of building the Party and the political system continued to be enhanced. The number of new Party members increased by 3% compared to that of the beginning of the year.

Last year, the city still encountered many difficulties and challenges. Economic development targets have not met expectations. However, some industries and fields such as services, tourism, and software export grew quite well. Key projects were completed and put into operation in the city, thereby contributing to promoting the local socio-economic development.

The city Party chief asked for more support from Chairman Trac to solve problems and difficulties and promote the city's development in the coming time.

Also on the same day, a group of visitors from Department 11 - General Department 2 under the Ministry of National Defence, and the Coast Guard Region 2 Command, sent Lunar New Year wishes to leaders of Da Nang.

Major General Tong Huu Nghia, Director of Department 11 - General Department 2, ​thanked the city leaders for their great concern to help officers and soldiers to complete their tasks well, especially foreign affairs and defence political tasks in 2023.

Secretary Quang congratulated Department 11's achievements in 2023 and hoped that officers and soldiers will continue to maintain a good cooperative relationship with the city and armed force units based in the locality, contributing to ensuring national defence and security in the Central Region - Central Highlands in general, and Da Nang in particular.

For his part, Lieutenant Colonel Truong Ba Long, Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of Coast Guard Region 2 wished the Party Committee, government and people of Da Nang city a happy and prosperous lunar new year.

Last year, the Coast Guard Region 2 always accompanied, helped and created conditions for local fishermen to feel secure when doing fishing activities at sea in tandem with firmly protecting border security sovereignty and island environment, and combating illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing.

In response, Mr. Quang wished officers and men of the Coast Guard Region 2 Command to have good health, and to well fulfill their assigned tasks.
