On Tuesday, a group of naval officers and men from submarine HQ-186 Da Nang and the Submarine Brigade 189 visited and extended Tet greetings to the Party Committee and People’s Committee of Da Nang.

Congratulating naval officers and men from submarine HQ-186 Da Nang and the Submarine Brigade 189 on their outstanding achievements over the past year, municipal Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang expressed his belief that they will continue to fulfill their assigned tasks in the coming time.

He also took the opportunity to wish them a warm and happy Tet. He also affirmed that the city always paid special attention and care to the two units.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Truong, Political Commissar of the Submarine Brigade 189, said that in 2023, his unit well fulfilled the assigned tasks, maintained combat readiness, and firmly protected the country’s sovereignty over its sea and islands, thereby contributing to maintaining a peaceful environment for promoting the city’s socio-economic development.

In 2023, Submarine Brigade 189 was proposed to be awarded the Government's Emulation Flag. Meanwhile, submarine HQ-186 Da Nang was awarded the Flag of Determination to Win for the 7^th consecutive year. Many officers and soldiers of the units won many excellent and typical titles.

On behalf of the submarine brigade’s officers and men, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Truong expressed his thanks and best wishes for a happy and prosperous Tet to Da Nang leaders. He believed that under the leadership of the municipal Party Committee, Da Nang will gain more outstanding achievements in 2024.

At the headquarters of the municipal People’s Committee, Chairman Le Trung Chinh highly lauded the units’ naval officers and men for their outstanding results in the past year. He also informed the delegation about some of the city’s outstanding achievements last year.

In reply, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Tuong voiced his belief that Da Nang will overcome difficulties and challenges, and become more prosperous overall in 2024.
