Consul Generals of foreign countries send Tet greetings to Da Nang
The Consul Generals of China, Laos, Russia, Japan and South Korea in Da Nang paid pre-Tet visits to the city leader on Friday.

During her meeting with municipal People’s Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh, Chinese Consul General in Da Nang Dong Biyou congratulated the city on its outstanding socio-economic development achievements last year.
She also took the opportunity to thank the municipal authorities for facilitating the Consulate General of China to well fulfill its tasks in the city over the past time. She hoped that the two sides will continue to coordinate and promote comprehensive cooperation in many fields in the coming time.
Chairman Chinh expressed his joy at Mrs. Dong Biyou’s pre-Tet visit. He believed that the coordination between Da Nang and the Chinese Consulate General in 2024 will contribute to promoting the comprehensive strategic cooperation of the Party, State and people of the two countries in general, as well as the relationship between Da Nang and Chinese localities in particular.

Meanwhile, Laotian Consul General in Da Nang Souphanh Hadaoheuang wished the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive partnership between Viet Nam and Laos to be evergreen and sustainable forever.
In reply, Chairman Chinh pledged to continue creating very favourable conditions for the Lao Consul General in Da Nang to perform well in the coming time.

On the occasion of traditional Vietnamese Tet, Consul General of Russia in Da Nang Mizonova Maria Georgievna wished local leaders and people a happy and prosperous lunar new year.
She unveiled that, Vietnamese airlines will open direct flights between Viet Nam and such Russian localities as Moscow and Irkutsk in early 2024. She voiced her hope that these direct flights will create favourable conditions for travel and tourism between the two countries, thereby contributing to their economic development.
The city leader thanked the Russian diplomat for her Lunar New Year wishes, expressing his belief that the bilateral cooperation relations with Russia will be tightened in the near future.

Coming to sending Lunar New Year greetings to the city leaders, Japanese Consul General in Da Nang Yakabe Yoshinori said that in 2023, Viet Nam and Japan officially upgraded their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership “for peace and prosperity in Asia and the world.
On that basis, the Japanese guest hoped that the two countries will strengthen cooperation in fields such as high technology, tourism, and seaports in 2024.
Chairman Chinh respectfully thanked Consul General Yakabe Yoshinori for his visit and Tet wishes. He affirmed that the city leaders will continue to support Japanese businesses and investors to operate effectively in the city.

When meeting with Chairman Le Trung Chinh, South Korean Consul General in Da Nang Kang Boo Sung believed that Da Nang will develop dramatically in many fields and hoped that the city's leaders will facilitate South Korean businesses to visit and seek investment opportunities in the city.
The Da Nang official wished Mr. Kang Boo Sung and all staff of Consulate General of South Korea in Da Nang a lunar new year full of joy, happiness and success.
At the same time, he highly lauded the vital role of the Consul General in connecting the Korean business community to invest in Da Nang in recent years. He suggested the Consulate General continue to call for investors from his country to invest and do business in Da Nang, and promote more Korean localities to cooperate with the city in labour export.
