Religious leaders pay pre-Tet visits to Da Nang officials
During his pre-Tet visit to Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang on Thursday, Bishop of the Da Nang Diocese Dang Duc Ngan thanked the city leaders for their special care and close direction, thereby ensuring that local people in general, and Catholic dignitaries and followers in particular, have a stable and peaceful life.

He also affirmed that Catholic dignitaries and followers will continue to support the city's socio-economic development guidelines and policies in the lunar new year.
Bishop Dang Duc Ngan took the opportunity to wish local leaders and people a warm, peaceful and happy Tet. He hoped that the city will continue its efforts to realise the goal of building and developing a safe and livable city in the coming time.

In reply, municipal Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang highly lauded the Da Nang Diocese, Bishop Dang Duc Ngan, and Catholic followers for their great contributions to the city’s progress over the past year.
On behalf of the Party Committee leaders, he sent wishes for good health, and a happy and prosperous lunar new year to Bishop Dang Duc Ngan, and Catholic dignitaries and followers in the city.
He voiced his hope that Catholic dignitaries and followers in the city will continue accompanying the leaders to build Da Nang into a prosperous, beautiful, peaceful, civilised and modern city in the coming time.

Also on the same day, Head of the Da Nang Party Committee's Mass Mobilisation Board Le Van Trung hosted a reception for a group of dignitaries from the Evangelical Church of Viet Nam (South), led by Pastor Nguyen Xuan Sanh, Pastoral Commissioner of the General Confederation of the Evangelical Church of Viet Nam.
Pastor Nguyen Xuan Sanh wished a happy lunar new year to the city's leaders and people. He also thanked the city government for creating favourable conditions for the Church and its followers to practice religion in accordance with State regulations.
On behalf of the Party Committee leaders, Mr. Le Van Trung hoped that the Representative Board of the Evangelical Church of Viet Nam (South) will encourage followers to abide by the Party’s guidelines and State laws, ensure a ‘good secular and secular lives’, and contribute to the city’s socio-economic development.
