Mr. Tran Phuoc Son, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Council, is assigned to be in charge of the municipal People's Council until the position of Chairman of the People's Council is consolidated.

The information was announced at the meeting held in the city on Monday.

Mr. Tran Phuoc Son, a native of Duy Chau Commune, Duy Xuyen District, Quang Nam Province, was born in 1972.

He holds a master’s degree in Development Economics, and he has a high-level of political theory.

He had previously held various positions, including Deputy Chief of the municipal People's Committee Office; Director of the city’s Department of Planning and Investment; Secretary of Lien Chieu District Party Committee; and Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee.

In the morning of the same day, the municipal People's Council held its 16^th meeting to dismiss Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet from the position of Chairman of the municipal People's Council for the 2021-2026 term.

Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet has just been mobilised, assigned, and appointed by the Politburo to be Secretary of Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
