Da Nang Party chief congratulates police force on traditional day

Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang, on Monday, visited and congratulated the municipal Department of Public Security on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2024).

On behalf of the city leaders, Secretary Quang sent best wishes to all leaders, officers, and men of the local people’s public security force on their special day. He also praised the municipal Department of Public Security for its great efforts in overcoming difficulties and challenges, maintaining political security, and ensuring social order and safety over the past time. This significantly contributed to building Da Nang into a peaceful, stable city.

City Party chief Quang said that Da Nang is a tourism city and a city of events, so local police officers are facing an increasing workload. Over the past time, the municipal Department of Public Security has done a good job of coordinating with relevant units to ensure the safety and security of events, thereby affirming the role, position and effectiveness in implementing the assigned tasks.

At the same time, he expressed his hope that the city's public security sector will continue promoting the heroic tradition and building a regular, elite, modern force in order to successfully complete assigned tasks in all situations.

In reply, Major General Vu Xuan Vien, Director of the municipal Department of Public Security, thanked the city leaders for their special care for the local people’s police force.

He also promised to continue to uphold the good tradition of the People's Public Security force to well fulfill all assigned tasks, hereby contributing to ensuring political security, social order and safety in the locality.
