For his part, Chairman Le Van Trung said that the city delegation was impressed by the economic development and infrastructure of Liaoning Province in particular and China in general.

He added that although Da Nang and Liaoning Province have yet to establish an official relationship, the exchange and cooperation activities between the two sides are relatively frequent.

In particular, in October 2023, the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang was honoured to welcome a working delegation from the Liaoning Provincial People's Political Consultative Conference.

He informed that Da Nang is one of the five centrally-run cities of Viet Nam, and identified as the economic, cultural and social hub of the Central and Central Highlands regions. With its location as the centre of the country, the city is easily accessible to all transportation systems such as international airports, deep-water seaports, railways and national highways.

On June 26, 2024, the National Assembly of Viet Nam passed Resolution No. 136/2024/QH15 on the organisation of urban government and the piloting of a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang. This is considered as the premise and the driving force for Da Nang to develop more strongly in the coming time.
