Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh, and Standing Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Ho Ky Minh, on Friday, visited and extended congratulations to the Consulate General of Laos in the city on the occasion of the 49^th anniversary of Laos’s National Day (December 2, 1975 - 2024) and the 104^th birthday of late Lao President Kaysone Phomvihane (December 13, 1920 - December 13, 2024).

On behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of Da Nang, Deputy Secretary Vinh sent best wishes to leaders of the Party, State, Government and people of Laos; Lao Consul General in Da Nang Souphanh Hadaoheuang; and all staff of the Lao Consulate General in the city on the special occasions.

He affirmed that after 49 years of construction and development, under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Laos has made important progress, gradually affirming its role and position in the international arena.

He also expressed his belief that the officials and staff of the Consulate General in Da Nang will fulfill their tasks well, contributing positively to the development of the relationships between Viet Nam and Laos in general, and between Da Nang and Lao localities in particular.

Also on the same morning, leaders of the municipal Department of Foreign Affairs, the Union of Friendship Organisations, and the city branch of the Viet Nam - Laos Friendship Association visited and congratulated the officers and staff of the Lao Consulate General in Da Nang the special occasions.

For his part, Lao Consul General in Da Nang Souphanh Hadaoheuang thanked the leaders of Da Nang, and the abovementioned units, for their congratulations. He affirmed that over the past 49 years of its construction and development, Laos has received active support of the Party, State and people of Viet Nam.

In particular, in recent years, Da Nang has actively provided material and spiritual support for south central provinces of Laos, as well as the best possible conditions for the Lao community to live and work in the city.

Mr. Souphanh Hadaoheuang wished that the traditional friendship and special solidarity between Viet Nam and Laos in general, between the south central provinces of Laos and Da Nang in particular, will be forever green, and eternally sustainable.
