Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang, on Friday, visited and congratulated the Military Region 5 Command on the occasion of the 80^th anniversary of the Viet Nam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35^th anniversary of the All-People Defence Festival (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).

On behalf of the Party Committee and government of the city, Secretary Quang congratulated the great achievements that the Viet Nam People's Army has achieved over the past eight decades. He also praised the officers and soldiers of Military Region 5 for their outstanding achievements, making important contributions to defending the Fatherland, boosting the socio-economic development, and ensuring defence and security of localities, including Da Nang.

He took the opportunity to wish the Commander, Political Commissar, leaders and all officers and soldiers of Military Region 5 good health and happiness. He hoped that Military Region 5 will continue to pay attention, support, closely cooperate, and accompany Da Nang during the progress of socio-economic development, and national defence and security.

On behalf of the leaders of Military Region 5, Lieutenant General Thai Dai Ngoc, Commander of Military Region 5, thanked the Party Committee, government and people of the city for special attention and effective support, showing precious affection for the armed forces of Military Region 5.

He affirmed that his unit will continue to accompany and support the city during the progress of socio-economic development, national defence and security.

Also on the same day, Party chief  Nguyen Van Quang paid visits to some military units stationed in the city.

At the Air Force Division 372 (Air Defense - Air Force), he highly appreciated the unit's contributions to maintaining political security and social order and safety in the city in recent years. He affirmed that the city's socio-economic development achievements have had great contributions from the armed forces, including the Air Force Division 372.

The city official wished the leaders, officers and soldiers of the Air Force Division 372 good health, happiness and excellent completion of all assigned tasks.

When meeting with leaders of Department 11 - General Department 2 under the Ministry of National Defence, Secretary Quang highly lauded the role of Department 11 in regularly discussing with the city leaders many important contents, helping the city have appropriate assessments and approaches with partners in socio-economic development activities.

Mr. Quang also praised the heroic tradition of Department 11, hoping that the unit will continue to maintain a good coordination relationship with the city and armed forces units, contributing to ensuring national defence and security in the Central Highlands region in general, and Da Nang in particular.

Visiting the city’s Military Command, Secretary Quang congratulated, acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the results and achievements that the Party Committee and the Military Command have achieved over the past time, especially in 2024.

On behalf of the city's leaders, he sent his best wishes to officers and soldiers of the Military Command, hoping that they will continue promoting the tradition of solidarity and determination to excellently fulfill their tasks in 2025 and the following years.

On Friday morning, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh visited and congratulated the Naval Region 3 Command, the city’s Border Guard Command and the Hai Chau District Military Command.

At the Naval Region 3 Command, on behalf of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, Deputy Secretary Vinh congratulated the outstanding achievements that the Naval Region 3 Command achieved in the past time. He affirmed that these achievements have made a very positive contribution to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in the current situation.

He wished all officers and soldiers of the Naval Region 3 Command good health, many victories, and excellent completion of the tasks assigned by the Party, State, Ministry of National Defence, and Navy. He expressed his hope that the Party Committee and the Naval Region 3 Command will continue to do a good job in protecting national and maritime security, participating in socio-economic development, and safeguarding national defence and security in the city.

Visiting the city’s Border Guard Command and the Hai Chau District Military Command, Deputy Secretary Vinh highly commended the results achieved by the units over the past time, especially in carrying out political tasks, Party and government building work, and professional training.
