Vice Chairwoman Thi informed that on June 26, the National Assembly of Viet Nam issued Resolution No. 136/2024/QH15 on organising urban government and piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang. In addition, in Notice No. 47-TB/TW dated November 15, the Politburo agreed on the policy of establishing a regional financial centre in the city. This is the premise for Da Nang to make a breakthrough development in order to enter a new era of Viet Nam's rise. Therefore, the training of high-quality human resources in key areas is of great concern to the city.
Ms. Thi requested Consul General Mori Takero to introduce and connect high-quality short-term training courses for leaders, managers, and experts of the city in the fields of public administration, urban planning, and innovative startups.
At the same time, he asked for a helping hand from the Japanese diplomat to connect and invite experienced Japanese experts to participate in major projects and plans of Da Nang in such spheres as free trade centres, financial centres, semiconductors, high technology, etc, as well as introduce study abroad programmes at public universities in Japan to local students.
For his part, Japanese Consul General in Da Nang Mori Takero highly appreciated Vietnamese students who have lived and studied in Japan and returned to contribute to the development of Viet Nam in general and Da Nang in particular.
The guest gave an overview of the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU). He added that the Shizuoka National University currently offers many preferential scholarship programmes for international students. Mr. Mori Takero expressed his hope that more students from Central Viet Nam, including Da Nang, will choose Japan to study abroad.
Mr. Mori Takero affirmed that he will do his utmost to promote cooperation in training high-quality human resources in the city’s priority fields, and act as a bridge to further tighten the Japan - Viet Nam relationships.
