Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong, on Friday, visited and congratulated staff of the Consulate General of Japan in the city on the occasion of the New Year 2025.

Vice Chairman Cuong sent his best New Year wishes to staff of the Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang. He also expressed his wish that the friendly relationship between Da Nang and Japanese localities will be further deepened.

He highly appreciated the role of the Consulate General in connecting and introducing Japanese localities and enterprises to invest and do business in Da Nang in recent years.

At the same time, he voiced his hope that Consul General Mori Takero and all staff of the Consulate General will continue to promote investment and cooperation between Da Nang and Japanese partners and localities in such spheres as semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI), education, culture, and tourism.

In reply, Consul General Mori Takero thanked the city leaders for their special care, affirming that he will do his utmost to contribute to the development of the Viet Nam - Japan friendship in general and the cooperation between Da Nang and Japanese localities in particular in the coming time.

Mr. Mori Takero also asked for support from leaders of Da Nang to facilitate the performance of the Consulate General. Based on the development orientation of the city's spearhead areas, the Consulate General is currently making efforts to call for and attract Japanese enterprises to Da Nang to invest in the fields of high technology, semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI), etc.
