During his reception for the Chinese diplomat, Mr. Quang informed about the city's positive economic results, especially the tourism and service industries recording impressive growth.

He added that his city was facilitated by the Central Government to issue many policy mechanisms to develop such new industries as artificial intelligence, free trade zones, and international financial centres. The implementation of urban government organisation associated with streamlining the administrative apparatus contributed to boost the city’s progress.

City Party chief expressed his delight at the fine development of the friendly relations between the Parties, the States and the people of Viet Nam and China in recent times. He also highly appreciated the cooperation results between Da Nang and Chinese localities in various spheres.

Mr. Quang asked Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam He Wei to act as a bridge to promote tourism cooperation between Da Nang and Chinese localities, especially resuming direct flights, and calling on more Chinese partners to learn about investment opportunities in new economic models of Da Nang.

The city wished to learn from the experience of Chinese localities in building free trade zones and international financial centres, he noted. At the same time, he proposed to promote people-to-people and cultural exchange activities in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Viet Nam - China diplomatic relations (January 18, 1950 - January 18, 2025).
