Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong led a delegation of city leaders to visit and extend New Year wishes to staff of the Consulate General of Russia in the city on Thursday.

Vice Chairman Cuong wished all consulate staff a new year of peace, prosperity and success. He expressed his delight at the good friendship between Viet Nam and Russia in general, and between Da Nang and Russian localities in particular.

He voiced his hope that Russian Consul General in Da Nang Mizonova Maria Georgievna will appeal for enterprises from his country to invest and do business in Da Nang. Attention should be paid to opening direct flights between Da Nang and localities of Russia, and facilitating travel between the two sides, thereby contributing to promoting the development of services and tourism, he added.

Consul General Mizonova Maria Georgievna thanked the leaders and people of Da Nang for their good sentiment for Russia and special support for the Consulate General of Russia in the city.

She expressed her belief that the relationships between Russian and Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole, will be further fostered in 2025.
