The editorial board of Da Nang Newspaper hosted a reception on Tuesday for Mr. Terado Hirotsugu, Consul of the Economic - Cultural and Communication Department under the Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang.

At the meeting, Mr. Terado Hirotsugu thanked the editorial board of the newspaper for their warm welcome and briefed them on the performance of the Consulate General, plus Japanese-invested projects, in Da Nang.

The Japanese guest said that he highly appreciated the quality of Da Nang Newspaper's publications. At the same time, he expressed his hope that Da Nang Newspaper will actively coordinate with the Consulate General of Japan in the city to promptly disseminate information about Japanese culture, country and people, and bilateral cooperation opportunities as well. The focus should be on the friendships between Japan and Viet Nam in general, and Da Nang and Japanese localities in particular, in order to help people of the two countries understand each other better, he emphasised.

For his part, Editor-in-Chief of Da Nang Newspaper Nguyen Duc Nam affirmed that Da Nang Newspaper is the voice of the Party, government and people of the city, and an official information channel for the city's foreign affairs. It always receives much attention and appreciation from municipal agencies, departments, branches and readers.

He added that the newspaper will continue to disseminate information about the culture, country, people, and investment and cooperation opportunities of Japan, thereby contributing to further deepening the Viet Nam - Japan relationships.
