Consuls General of foreign countries pay pre-Tet visits to Da Nang leader

The Consuls General of China, Laos, Russia, Japan and South Korea in Da Nang paid pre-Tet visits to the city's leaders on Tuesday.

Chinese Consul General in Da Nang Dong Biyou congratulated Da Nang on its outstanding socio-economic achievements in 2024 during her meeting with Permanent Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh.

She remarked that 2025 will mark the 75th founding anniversary of the Viet Nam - China diplomatic ties (January 18, 1950 - January 18, 2025), and the beginning of the "Year of Viet Nam - China Humanistic Exchange".

She hoped that many cultural exchange activities will be organised in the city, promoting comprehensive cooperation in many fields between the two sides.

Sending Tet greetings to Da Nang’s leaders, Laotian Consul General in the city Souphanh Hadaoheuang wished the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive partnership between Viet Nam and Laos to be evergreen and sustainable forever.

The Laotian diplomat voiced his hope that the Party Committee, government and people of the city will achieve many successful results in socio-economic development in 2025.

On the occasion of the traditional Tet holiday, Consul General of Russia in Da Nang Mizonova Maria Georgievna wished a happy and prosperous Lunar New Year to the Party Committee, government and people of the city. She expressed her desire that Da Nang will effectively implement the policies, guidelines and special mechanisms that the Central Government has just issued for the city. 2025 will mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Viet Nam - Russia diplomatic relations, so she hoped that the city's leaders will pay attention to and support cultural exchange activities between the two sides.

Mrs. Mizonova Maria Georgievna wished that direct flights connecting Vietnamese with Russian localities will soon be opened, thereby creating many favourable conditions for travel and tourism between the two countries. This is the driving force to promote the development of the local tourism industry, contributing to the economic development between the two countries.

When meeting with Deputy Secretary Vinh, Consul General of Japan in Da Nang Mori Takero wished the city many good results and further development. He hoped that in 2025, the two sides will strengthen cooperation in such spheres as hi-tech, tourism and education. Currently, the Consulate General is making efforts to promote Japanese enterprises with potential in the field of semiconductor to explore investment opportunities in the central coastal city.

Wishing the city's leaders a Happy New Lunar Year, Consul General of South Korea in Da Nang Kang Boo Sung expressed his belief that the central city will record a remarkable development in the year ahead. He hoped that the city's leaders will create favourable conditions for Korean enterprises to seek investment opportunities in the city.

In reply, Deputy Secretary Nguyen Dinh Vinh sincerely thanked and highly appreciated the role of Consuls General in Da Nang in promoting cooperation with localities, businesses and partners of their countries.

He wished the friendly relations between Viet Nam and other countries in general and Da Nang in particular will be further deepened. He pledged that the municipal government will offer the best facilitation to foreign enterprises, investors and partners to effectively deploy production and business activities in the city.
