Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang presided the city's broadcasting bridge point.

PM Chinh, who is head of the committee, highly appreciated and commended the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of National Defence, the Ministry of Public Security, ministries, agencies and localities for proactively and actively implementing tasks and solutions, contributing to the initial achievements of the programme.

He added the successful implementation of the programme held great significance, as it helped realise the Party's policies, and reflect the regime's inherent goodness of providing a prosperous and happy life for the people and ensure that no one is left behind. This initiative prioritised social progress, fairness, and environmental protection over mere economic growth.

Furthermore, the programme reflected a strong commitment, significant effort, and decisive action from ministries, sectors, and localities in mobilising resources and organising the programme implementation; and demonstrated the active involvement of the entire political system, especially the grassroots level.

Specifying key tasks and solutions in the coming time, PM Chinh requested the Minister of Construction to guide the criteria for temporary and dilapidated houses so that localities have a basis for implementation and report to the ministry before January 20, 2025 on the number of people with housing difficulties at that time.

He also directed the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs to closely monitor, regularly urge and request localities to review and complete plans by day, week, month, quarter and from now until the end of the year to complete the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses.

Localities were asked to update on difficulties and problems regarding capital, procedures, land, human resources and material transportation to proactively resolve within their authority or advise and propose to competent authorities and the Central Steering Committee on issues beyond their authority to ensure progress.

Immediately after the second meeting of the central steering committee, Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang chaired an online meeting with localities in the city to disseminate the direction of PM Chinh on implementing the programme to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

He assigned the Standing Deputy Heads of the city’s Steering Committee for the eradication of temporary and dilapidated houses, to urgently issue a detailed plan before January 15 and complete the dissemination before January 20. The city's media agencies were urged to propagate in the first quarter of 2025, regularly informing about the implementation results.

In the promulgation plan, Secretary Quang requested that the contents must be clarified and specified, and assigned the secretaries of the Party Committees at all levels to direct the People's Committees at the same level to be responsible for reviewing and accurately listing the subjects that need to eliminate temporary houses before February 15, 2025.
