The Italian diplomat informed that Da Nang and Genoa City signed a Memorandum of Understanding on establishing the bilateral friendship and cooperation relations at the City Partnership Forum – Da Nang 2025 (Meet Da Nang 2025). He affirmed that that was a premise for people of the two countries in general and Italian cities in particular to learn about, increase exchanges and enhance cooperation with Da Nang.
He added that the Italian Business Association in Viet Nam planned to organize the Italian Expo Da Nang 2025 and a number of cultural exchange activities in the city in November.
Mr. Enrico Padula, therefore, expressed his hope that the city's leaders will create the most favourable conditions for relevant units to ensure the success of the exhibition. He believed that the programme will open up many opportunities for cooperation, investment and trade between Italy and Viet Nam, especially between Italy and Da Nang.
He noted Italian businesses showed their keen interested in connecting and learning about the investment environment in Da Nang, wishing to open an office of the Italian Business Association here.
For his part, Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh pledged that the city leaders will be willing to support the Consulate General of Italy and the Italian Business Association in Viet Nam to ensure the success of the forthcoming events.
Mr. Minh also suggested that the Consulate General of Italy and the Italian Business Association in Viet Nam organize more art performances and cultural diplomacy activities, as well as appeal for more Italian investors to survey the investment environment and seek business opportunities in Da Nang, in the near future.
