A scientific workshop themed “Continuing the heroic tradition - Da Nang strives to enter a new era” was held in the city on Friday to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Da Nang Party Committee (March 28, 1930 - March 28, 2025) and the 50th anniversary of the city's liberation (March 29, 1975 - March 29, 2025).

The event was co-chaired by Secretary of the municipal Party Committee cum Head of the city’s National Assembly Deputies’ Delegation Nguyen Van Quang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh, Chairman of the People's Committee Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the People's Council Ngo Xuan Thang, and Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Le Van Trung.

During the workshop, delegates exchanged and affirmed the correct and wise leadership and direction of the Da Nang Party Committee since its inception in 1930 in leading and directing the people to win victories in the two struggles for national liberation, and in building Da Nang into an increasingly rich, beautiful, civilised and modern city.
This, thereby, clarified more scientific arguments, affirming that Da Nang is the cradle of the revolution in Central Viet Nam, and a dynamic city, and a key point of the Central region in terms of economy, politics, culture - society in the period of building a prosperous and happy country, towards the era of national development.

The workshop also aimed to pay tribute to the heroic and advanced examples in the fight against enemy, and generations of revolution cadres and soldiers who contributed to the cause of national liberation. It also honoured remarkable socio-economic achievements that the city has gained over the 50-year journey of development and integration.

The event contributed to educating the younger generations about patriotism, love of work, and love of peace, and upholding the historical and cultural values of the locality for the cause of national construction in the new situation.
During the event, the delegates proposed ideas and solutions for the city to achieve the set goals and visions, especially target of annual double-digit GRDP growth rate in the immediate future.
