Training ship of Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force arrives in Da Nang
Ship Suzunami of the training squadron of the Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force, led by Colonel Mizuno Tatsuhito, Commander of training vessel unit No. 12, arrived at the Tien Sa Port on Monday morning, beginning a visit to the central city of Da Nang.

The ship with 230 officers and sailors on board was welcomed by representatives of the municipal Department of Foreign Affairs, the Naval Region 3 Command, the Military Region 5 Command, the city’s Border Guard Command and other related units.
The welcome ceremony was also attended by Japanese Consul General in Da Nang Mori Takero.
During the trip in Da Nang, the Japanese delegation will pay courtesy visits to leaders of the city and the Naval Region 3 Command. They will take part in sports exchange activities with officers and soldiers of the Naval Region 3, and visit some local historical and cultural sites.

The visit aims to strengthen cooperation, understanding and mutual trust between the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence and the Japanese Ministry of Defence in general, and between the Viet Nam People’s Navy and the Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force in particular.
