A delegation of Da Nang’s officials, led by Permanent Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh, is paying working trips to south central provinces of Laos, namely Savannakhet, Salavane, Champasak, Sekong and Attapeu, from March 31 to April 6.

During the working trips, leaders of Da Nang and Laotian provinces will exchange information on the socio-economic development situation of each side, as well as review and evaluate the implementation of Da Nang-funded cooperation programmes in the provinces during the 2023 – 2027 period.

The Da Nang visitors will also visit and send best wishes to leaders and people of the south central provinces of Laos on the occasion of the Bunpimay Festival 2025, the traditional New Year of Laos. They will also donate funds for social security activities and visit the Association of Vietnamese People and Vietnamese Language Centres in Lao provinces.

The Da Nang delegation will attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the project to upgrade the Friendship Primary School of the Association of Vietnamese People in Salavane Province to the Friendship Primary and Junior High School.

The purpose of the working trip is to strengthen the friendship and effective cooperation between Da Nang and south central provinces of Laos in particular, and at the same time contribute to nurturing and preserving the special and great friendship between Viet Nam and Laos in general.
