Chairman Chinh extended sympathy to leaders and people of Thailand following a devastating earthquake on March 28 causing heavy human and property losses. He also expressed his belief that the determination of the Thai Government and the solidarity of the people will soon overcome the difficulty.

The city leader also thanked Ms. Urawadee Sriphiromya for attending the event "Meeting ASEAN in Da Nang 2025" and giving constructive opinions to strengthen the cooperative relationship between Thailand and Da Nang.

He informed that, in 2024, Da Nang welcomed more than 269,000 Thai tourists, and Thailand ranked 3rd in the top 10 sources of international visitors to Da Nang. Thailand is also a favourite destination for people in Da Nang and Central Viet Nam.

Mr. Chinh asked for help from the Thai diplomat to promote Thai airlines to open more direct flights from Da Nang to Khonkaen and some other localities of Thailand to create conditions for the two sides to increase the effectiveness of investment, trade and tourism cooperation.
