Da Nang willing to create favourable conditions for Cuban investors
When receiving Cuban Ambassador to Viet Nam Rogelio Polanco Fuentes in Da Nang on Wednesday, Standing Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Ho Ky Minh pledged to offer the best possible facilitation to Cuban partners to invest and cooperate in various fields in the city.

Mr. Minh expressed his delight at the successful organisation of a seminar to promote investment and connect businesses between Da Nang and Cuba towards the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the Viet Nam - Cuba diplomatic ties (December 2, 1960 - 2025).
The city leader took the opportunity to ask the Cuban diplomat to act as a bridge to reinforce bilateral trade exchanges between Da Nang and Cuban businesses, in such spheres as healthcare, science, education, sports, culture, and information technology.
Cuban Ambassador Rogelio Polanco Fuentes expressed his impression on the city's development, pledging to do his utmost to strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual interest, especially training human resources for the healthcare sector such as doctors, nurses and medical staff.
He also hoped that the two sides will share experience in developing tourism, science and technology, and enhancing people-to-people exchange activities in the time ahead.

Also on Wednesday, the Da Nang Investment Promotion Agency (Da Nang IPA) in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Viet Nam organised a seminar on promoting investment and connecting businesses between Da Nang and Cuba.
The intention of the event was to promote economic, trade and investment cooperation between Da Nang and Cuba, and create a forum for businesses of both sides to connect, expand investment and business cooperation in many fields in celebration of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the Viet Nam - Cuba diplomatic ties (December 2, 1960 - 2025).
At the seminar, representatives of Da Nang IPA introduced an overview of the investment and business environment and key projects calling for investment in the city.
Meanwhile, representatives of the Cuban business delegation briefed the IPA on the Mariel Economic Zone - Cuba's first free trade and export processing zone, along with investment and cooperation opportunities in this zone. In addition, businesses of both sides discussed the potential for cooperation in the fields of industrial production, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, agriculture and others.
