Philippine Coast Guard ship arrives in Da Nang
The BRP Gabriela Silang (OPV-8301) of the Philippine Coast Guard docked at the Tien Sa Port on Monday, beginning a 4-day courtesy visit to Da Nang. The ship with 84 officers and sailors on board is captained by Colonel Eleizer Gonzales Ibarientos.

The ship was welcomed by representatives of the Command of Coast Guard Region 2, the Military Region 5 Command, the city’s Military Command, the Border Guard Command, the Naval Region 3 Command, and the municipal Department of Foreign Affairs.
During the trip in Da Nang, the Filipino delegation will pay courtesy visits to the city leaders, as well as take part in sports exchange activities with officers and soldiers of the Coast Guard Region 2 Command, and join a search and rescue, and fire prevention exercise with Vietnamese Coast Guard ships.

The visit provides the opportunity for officers and sailors of the Viet Nam Coast Guard and Philippine Coast Guard to share and exchange experiences and practices in law enforcement at sea, thereby contributing to strengthening the bilateral cooperation, understanding and mutual trust.
