From now until the end of July, Da Nang’s departments of Police and Transport is increasing their checks and control on traffic violations as well as impose strict punishment on them, including exceeding the speed limits and carrying oversized or overweight cargos on local roads.

The city’s Department of Police has just announced Plan No 625 which concerns general checks on the operation of cars with diplomatic or foreign registration plates.  Local police officers will look for violations relating to any illegal ownership of these vehicles.

At present, there are 24 cars in the city whose diplomatic or foreign registration plates have expired, and the owners of these vehicles have not revoked the registration and number plates of the vehicles as prescribed.  From now until the end of this year, local police officers will tighten the management of these vehicles.
