Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa has recently appointed Hung Pham as Assistant Director of Food and Beverage.  Hung was born in Viet Nam and raised in Germany.  By joining the management team of Hyatt’s first resort in Viet Nam, Hung brings a wealth of experience gained during his years working with many well known affiliates in the hospitality industry, including two Starwood Hotels (the W Hotel Washington DC and the Sheraton Crystal City), the Stockheim Group, and the Grand Hyatt Berlin.

Hung earned a Bachelor of Science degree at a leading German hotel management school in Dortmund, and served a three-year apprenticeship with the Stockheim Group.  Hung not only has a wealth of experience, but he also has strong leadership qualities.  Most recently, he held the position of Outlets Manager at the W Hotel Washington DC, a hotel which is well known for its signature drinks, and he achieved record revenues for the hotel’s restaurants.

Hung left Viet Nam at the age of six, leaving behind his extended family.  “This is one of the reasons why I joined Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa.  I plan to stay on my mother’s land to learn more about where I was born.  I love looking at the way young Vietnamese people learn new things.  They are all very hard working, and enthusiastic about developing their careers” said Hung.

Niklas Wagner, Director of Food and Beverage at the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa, said “We are ecstatic to have Hung on board.  He is not only able to communicate with our food and beverage associates in their mother language, but he also combines strong leadership with a wealth of experience.  The team now has the right leader”.
