A total of 1,046 cases of dengue fever have been recorded in Da Nang so far this year, representing a year-on-year increase of 954 cases.  However, no dengue-related deaths have been reported over the period.

There was an increase of 47.3% in the number of cases in July against the previous month.  In particular, high numbers were reported in the weeks from late August to early September, with 48 cases per week on average.

So far this year, 121 cases have been reported from Ngu Hanh Son District.  The Hai An residential area of Hoa Quy ward in that district is considered to be a hotspot for catching the disease.
