Inspectors from the Da Nang Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs recently imposed an administrative fine on the Viet Nam Knitwear Company, located at the Hoa Khanh Industrial Park in Lien Chieu District, for forcing its employees to work overtime.

Early on Saturday morning, more than 10 female workers suddenly fainted due to a drop in their blood cancium and glucose levels whilst they were working on the night shift at the company.

They were rushed to the Lien Chieu District Medical Centre and the city’s Transport Hospital.  Some of the most serious cases were transferred to the Da Nang General Hospital for further treatment.

The case is still under investigation.
