Following a recent decision by the Da Nang authorities, 10 doctors, 4 nurses and 12 volunteers from the South Korean Vision Care Service (VCS) organisation will give free eye check-ups and any necessary surgery to local poor people from 17 - 20 September.

It is planned that 100 patients with cataracts will undergo surgery at the Eye Hospital, and 600 others, including children, will receive free eye check-ups, glasses, and medicines at the Thanh Khe District Medical Centre.
