Organised by the Da Nang Youth Union, a seminar entitled “Building Development Strategies for the Viet Nam Youth Union to 2020” took place in the city on Wednesday.

The event featured discussions and ideas about the effectiveness of the programmes and campaigns launched by the Viet Nam Youth Union.  These are: “Promoting a productive and positive lifestyle amongst young people”, “Actively involving youths in social welfare and environmental protection”, “Young people establishing their positions in life, doing business, and getting rich legitimately”, “Getting ready for when your country needs you”, and “Building and developing the Youth Union organisation, and enhancing solidarity among young people”.

The seminar participants also discussed ways to attract more local youths into the Youth Union, and how to improve the operation of the organisation.
