Between 19 and 21 November, representatives from the Central Region Natural Disaster Mitigation Support Fund visited 600 flood-affected families in Quang Nam, Quang Ngai and Binh Dinh provinces.  They presented gifts to local families, valued at 300,000 VND each, which consisted of 10kg of rice, one carton of instant noodles, and 2 packs of monosodium glutamate.

The money for the gifts was raised from domestic and overseas organisations, businesses, and individuals.

In addition, tens of thousands of notebooks and numerous computers, worth 120 million VND in total, have already been given to 4 schools in the provinces of Quang Binh and Nghe An which were hit hard by the recent flooding.

On Wednesday, the Association of Charity and Children's Rights Protection in Da Nang’s Ngu Hanh Son District presented cash and material gifts of rice and instant noodles to 900 poor families in the district.  These gifts, worth 270 million VND in total, were paid for by the Phap Van Vietnamese Buddhist Cultural Centre of Ontario in Canada.
