According to the Da Nang Traffic Safety Board, the city saw an increase in the number of road traffic accidents during October.

A total of 22 road traffic accidents were recorded in the city over the month, and these resulted in 12 deaths and 19 serious injuries.  The figures show a year-on-year increase of 2 in the number of accidents, deaths by 1 and injuries by 6.

In addition, 1 death and 2 injuries were reported after a serious rail accident.

The month also saw a high number of school pupils riding electric bicycles and electric motorcycles without wearing helmets.  Furthermore, traffic congestion is still occurring in front of local schools and at some of the city’s major intersections.
