Tropical depression affecting central region

According to the Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the tropical depression which entered the south-eastern part of the East Sea on Wednesday is moving in a westerly or north-westerly direction at a speed of about 25kph. It lashed the southern coastal provinces early today.
By 4am today, 15 November, the depression was expected to be in the coastal areas from Phu Yen to Ninh Thuan provinces, at latitude 11°7’N and longitude 109°2’E. The strongest wind speeds near its centre are between 62kph and 74kph.

Due to the effects of the depression combining with cold air, the Da Nang area and elsewhere along the central and southern coasts are experiencing moderate to heavy rain and strong winds.
