Two more storms in the East Sea
According to the Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, tropical storm No 13, which is moving in a westerly or north-westerly direction at a speed of about 30kph, is forecast to lash the southern provinces this evening.
At 1pm today, 6 November, the storm was positioned in the coastal areas from Phu Yen to Ba Ria -Vung Tau at latitude 11°5’N and longitude 110°E. It is predicted to carry wind speeds of 62 - 88kph (level 10/11) near its centre.

Due to the effects of this storm, moderate to heavy rainfall is occurring in the Da Nang area, the southern provinces, and the highlands.
Meanwhile, another powerful storm, internationally known as Haiyan, has developed in the Western Pacific. It is gathering strength and moving in the same direction as the above-mentioned storm. Therefore, it may affect the southern provinces after entering the East Sea on Friday evening.
