Since the start of the year, inspectors from the Da Nang Department of Health have imposed fines totalling over 200 million VND on 21 of the 145 local private healthcare establishments which they have investigated.
The major violations were providing check-ups and treatment without operating licences, lacking practice certificates, not displaying their service prices, and healthcare service providers selling medicines to their patients.
During the same period, the department also made inspection visits to 219 food and bottled water producers across the city. 36 were found to be violating the city’s hygiene regulations, and fines totalling over 135 million VND were imposed on them.
