Between 15 May and 30 June, the Da Nang Traffic Safety Board will be widely publicising the national technical regulations relating to motorcycle helmets to local road users, as well as to those who are involved in making and selling such helmets in the city.

From 1 July, local traffic police officers will increase their patrols and checks on road-users.  Strict penalties will be imposed on those who ride motorcycles or electric bicycles without wearing helmets, or wear helmets which do not meet the national standards.

The city has 100,000 safety helmets available for sale to local residents by the end of June.  Their focus is on reaching the target of 100% of local residents using certified quality helmets by the end of this year.
