On Sunday morning, the University of Da Nang (UD) gave scholarships, worth about 100 million VND in total, to 20 of its new students. 

The recipients were students who had gained the highest or second-highest marks in this year’s university entrance exams at the UD, along with the university’s poor studious freshmen.  The students with top marks received scholarships valued at 5 million each, whilst those with the second-highest marks and the poor studious freshmen were given a 3 million VND scholarship each.
